Order Displays
A live screen showing every incoming order the moment a customer places it. No printers, no missed orders. Here's how to get it running.
What is an Order Display?
An Order Display is a dedicated screen — in your kitchen, behind the bar, or at the service counter — that shows incoming orders in real time as customers place them from the kiosk. When someone orders, the order pops up on the display instantly. Staff can see each item, mark orders as complete, and move on to the next one. No printers, no shouting across the room.
What device do I need?
Any device with a web browser works — a tablet mounted on the wall, an old phone propped on the counter, a monitor connected to a computer, or a Fire Stick plugged into a TV. There's no app to install. You open the display URL in the browser and leave it open. That's it.
Setting up a display
Go to Displays in the left menu and click New Display. Give it a name (for example "Kitchen Screen" or "Bar Display"). Click Save. You'll see a URL for the display — open that URL on the device you want to use as your display screen. Keep the browser open and the screen on.
Linking a display to a menu
For orders to appear on a display, you need to link the display to the menu that's taking orders. Go to your menu's Settings tab and choose the display you just created under Send orders to. Now when customers order from that menu, orders go straight to your display.
How orders appear
Each new order appears as a card on the display screen. The card shows:
— The order number
— The time the order was placed
— Each item ordered, with quantities and any options the customer chose
New orders slide in at the top. Older orders stay visible below until you mark them complete.
Sound notifications
When a new order arrives, the display plays a short sound notification so staff know to look up. This works as long as the browser tab is open and the device is not muted.
If you don't want sound, you can mute the device or turn off notifications in the display settings. If the sound doesn't play the first time, tap anywhere on the display screen — browsers require a user interaction before playing audio.
Marking orders complete
Tap the Done button on an order card to mark it as complete. The card disappears from the screen. Completed orders are stored in the order history, which you can access from the Displays section in your dashboard.
Multiple displays
You can have multiple displays — for example, one for the kitchen and one for the bar. Each display is separate and can receive orders from different menus. You pay per display after the first one — see the Billing guide for pricing.
Tips
- Keep the display browser tab pinned or in full-screen mode so it doesn't accidentally get minimised.
- Set the device screen to stay on permanently — go to the device's display settings and set "Screen timeout" to Never.
- If you lose the display URL, you can find it again in the Displays section of your dashboard.
- Test the display before opening by placing a test order from the kiosk and checking it appears.
- If orders stop appearing, check that the device is still connected to the internet and refresh the page.
